Its Galician-language name, which means “little hell,” is due to this area, in the past, being frequented by sinners, apart from the fact that the building dates from the year 1666. However, the image of hell could not be further from the situation today. Inferniño is now an elegant haven for travellers, an oasis of greenery and water hidden among an impressive architectural ensemble made of stone.
Strolling around Santiago’s streets from its very heart is not only the most convenient way but will also give you another perspective of this historic enclave.
